What are the application window and testing window dates?
Certification candidates must submit their Eligibility Application and be approved before taking the CESP™ examination.
All interested certification candidates must apply with APSE during the application window (see below). The application will include eligibility information and request payment.
The application will request eligibility documentation ( see more on our "Qualify" page) and payment ($199 per examination attempt).
The testing windows are the dates during which the exams are administered. You must apply for the desired testing window during the corresponding application window. Your application is only good for the testing window in which you are applying. If approved, failure to schedule your exam will result in you needing to reapply and repay the full examination fee.
|TESTING WINDOW||APPLICATION WINDOW|
|February 3-14, 2020||December 30-January 27, 2020|
|April 6-17, 2020||March 2-30, 2020|
|June 1-12, 2020||April 27-May 26, 2020|

Once your application is reviewed (within 72 business hours of receipt), you will receive notice of approval or denial. If you are approved*, you will receive an email from PSI including the scheduling authorization. This email will include all scheduling links and instructions.
Once you go to register with PSI (after being approved by APSE for eligibility), you'll be able to find the location closest to you. Then you can pick the day and time that works best for you. It is first-come, first-serve at testing centers, so the times will vary by center.
*Approved candidates are those who meet the eligibility requirements, complete the applicant application, and pay the required fees by the application deadline
